What is the process of becoming a Eufora Educator?
Whether you are a seasoned stylist or new behind the chair, Boot Camp is everyone’s doorway to the Eufora Educator program. These events are held quarterly, all across the country in various Eufora markets.
At Eufora’s Boot Camp you will:
– learn about the company’s mission, vision and philosophy
– learn exceptional presentation skills
– receive advanced product training
This is also where you will receive an in-depth explanation of career opportunities and the training available within the Eufora Educator program. Each stylist will be personally assessed and provided with a mentor in order to ensure their success going forward.

Alissa Alvarez – Eufora National Trainer
With her warm smile and patient attitude every student attending Alissa’s class will immediately feel and experience her passion for the hair industry and her desire to help every stylist grow and learn. Alissa hopes to teach her students new techniques that will help them break out of their box and to become the best stylist they can be. One of her core beliefs that she instills in every stylist she meets is “there is no greater feeling then to help a client find their creative side and to help them change the way they feel about themselves. Helping a client see and find their inner beauty is an amazing thing.”
Alissa may be new to the National Trainers but not to the Eufora Family. Schooled at The Poway Academy of Hair and completed Classic and Creative Sassoon courses, Alissa entered the industry 10 years ago, with her first salon being a Eufora Exclusive Salon. There she embraced the 8 Essential Steps to Financial Success, Eufora’s proven business system, and began to immerse herself in Eufora’s Foundation courses. After only one year she found herself as a YOU School Foundations Instructor and began traveling and educating stylists all over the country. In 2011 during Global Connection Alissa was welcomed into the National Trainers family by her mentors Don Bewley, Gerard Annunziato and Connie Kecskes.
Andrew McAleese – Eufora National Trainers Business Educator
Andrew McAleese decided to pursue a career in the salon industry just 13 years ago. In this short time he has risen to the top of his game both as a successful stylist and business owner. As a Eufora Educator, Andrew is an amazing combination of the creative stylist with strong business savvy. Andrew teaches stylists how to do better business with the Eufora proven systems that he uses to grow his own business.
Connie Kecskes – Eufora National Trainer/YOU School Instructor
Connie has been a stylist since 1990 and Eufora National Trainers Educator since 2004. She realized early on the value of advanced education. She attended Vidal Sassoon courses, and other notable advanced training programs.
Connie’s dedication to sharing knowledge landed her the position of Technical Director at Headlines for Hair, where she has been a stylist for most of her professional career. Her easygoing instruction and infectious laughter make her classes a favorite amongst students.
Christina Krapf – Eufora National Trainer
Christina Krapf, a native from Long Island, New York; grew up watching her mother and sister work in the hair industry. When she graduated High School she thought she would try her hand at beauty school. After graduation and completely inspired, she went into business with her sister and opened a successful salon in Long Island. During the 4 ‘ years of owning her salon she discovered Eufora. She immediately fell in love with the passion, philosophy, education and inspiration that Eufora provided.
Shortly after catching the “Aloe” fever Christina attended Boot Camp to become a Eufora Educator. She began engulfing herself in every Eufora education program including YOU School Advanced Academy and Advanced Eufora Educator Trainings. A few short years later Christina decided to sell her salon in New York and moved cross country to Southern California to be closer to Eufora’s Corporate Headquarters and to grow with the company. Once settled she obtained a job with Headlines for Hair in Encinitas, California. There she became an accomplished member of the salon and of Eufora HERO for Men’s Team. In 2011, after years of inspiring and educating others, Christina had a dream come true by being officially made a National Trainers Member at Eufora’s Global Connection.
Dee Fortier – Eufora National Trainer/YOU School Instructor
Dee earned her hairdressing license in 1980. After fifteen years as a stylist and salon trainer, she launched Deeva Hair In 1995. Through experience with many professional product lines and her affiliation with Eufora International, Dee continuously gleans fresh ideas and shares her expertise with industry colleagues.
While working full-time as a stylist in Kitchener, Ontario during the early 1980’s, she began to compete. Dee progressed quickly to national and international competitions such as the ABA, IBS, NAHA’s, Contessa and Mirror Awards, earning several trophies and awards.
Gerard Annunziato – Eufora YOU School Instructor
Gerard Annunziato graduated from beauty school during a pivotal era in the industry and left the chair to train with Vidal Sassoon. Several years later, he had gained additional hairdressing experience with Vidal Sassoon, the Plaza Hotels Salon and Saks Fifth Avenue in New York. His most notable achievement was back-to-back Gold Cup awards representing the United States at the 1983 and 1984 Festival Mondial in Paris and Cannes, France. Gerard has designed retail centers and led educational programs for several salon enterprises in Florida.
Gerard now travels between his home in south Florida and San Diego, California, where he is fulfilling a life long dream…Heading up You School Advanced Academy, dedicated to the advancement of technical, creative and business skills for hairdressers, by Eufora International.
Haim Knister – Eufora National Trainer
From his beginnings as a stylist’s apprentice in Tel Aviv, Israel, to his acclaimed exclusive salon, Haim Ltd., in Del Mar, California, Haim Knister has enjoyed a very colorful and successful career in the beauty and fashion industry.
Haim’s training in Israel began as a teenager as an apprentice with one of Israel’s most noted professionals. His talent soon became evident, and in his early 20’s Haim ventured to London to continue his advanced training under Vidal Sassoon.
Haim’s salon has earned a reputation as one of the finest beauty and fashion destinations in Southern California, and he appears frequently on local television demonstrating the newest hair fashions. In 2004 Haim and his team preformed for Fox TV’s Ambush Makeover, a national program.
“Haim’s stage presentation comes from the heart”, says Don Bewley, founder of Eufora Int’l, “He not only provides instruction on beautiful hair cuts, but inspires his audience to realize the potential each of them has to achieve their professional goals. People are drawn to Haim, I believe it’s because he is truly sincere about helping his fellow stylists and salon owners”.
Jeffrey Mayo – Eufora National Trainer
Jeffrey has been in the hair industry since 1998 working as a stylist in some of the most prestigious salons in the Boston area. He joined the Eufora Education team in 2005 and Eufora was proud to appoint Jeffrey to the National Trainers in 2009. As a National Trainers Educator and YOU School Instructor, Jeffrey travels across North America sharing his passion and talent. His positive attitude and infectious smile create an approachable classroom experience. Students will leave Jeffrey’s class with the knowledge and inspiration they need to be successful in their careers.
Julie Cross – Eufora National Trainer/HERO Men’s Team Member
During her senior year in college, Julie worked as a receptionist in a salon in Virginia, only planning to stay through the end of school. However, being in the salon showed her the beauty industry in a whole new light. “I saw a commitment to customer service, a passion for continuous education, the happiness and elevated self-esteem that one person could give another just by changing how one sees oneself”, says Julie. Julie became a Eufora educator in 2008 and after continuing her own education through Eufora’s YOU School Academy courses and Advanced Educator Training, she worked her way up to assisting at Revolution Tours and Global Connection. Julie was appointed to the Eufora HERO for Men’s Team in 2011. She is dedicated to helping stylists overcome their fear of cutting men’s hair.
Kevin Bryan – Eufora National Trainer
Kevin knew he wanted to educate even before he finished beauty school. While assisting other students in class, he realized that he had a passion for teaching and helping others.
After beauty school, Kevin began working in the salon as an assistant to Eufora National Trainers Member, Steve DeCaro, where he was able to continue to learn and grow. He attended Eufora’s YOU School Advanced Training Academy and immediately put Eufora’s business concepts into practice to build his own clientele.
Today Kevin is a stylist at Accapella Salon in Temecula California and is passionate about men’s barbering and grooming. As a member of the Eufora HERO for Men’s Team, Kevin is able to inspire other stylists wishing to take their business to the next level by capturing some of the lucrative men’s grooming market. He shares his success strategies for attracting and retaining a male clientele as well as teaching classic barbering techniques and men’s trends.
Joanne Magana – Eufora National Trainers Business Educator
A part time job to help support the cost of a college education gave Joanne Magana her first experience with the beauty industry. She was taking classes to become a Surgical Assistant when she realized her passion to help people was best suited in the salon profession. After watching Joanne teach her “Better Business” Seminar, you will see that she truly has found her forte as a Eufora National Trainers Educator.
Joanne has been in the Salon Professional Business since 1994, and currently manages Headlines For Hair in Encinitas, California. She strives to bring professionalism back to the salon, and help hair stylists earn the respect they deserve. Joanne’s unwavering dedication to pushing the salon profession to the next level is apparent both in the classroom, and at Headlines For Hair, where with Joanne’s help, was recently named as one of Salon Today’s Top 200 Salons in North America.
Joanne was appointed to the Eufora National Trainers in 2005 as a Business Educator. Joanne empowers audiences large and small with her enthusiasm and commitment. Her public speaking skills motivate listeners. Joanne encourages active learning and systems that lead to success time and time again. She inspires others to achieve their dreams through goal setting and Eufora Business Development Systems.
Letty Portilla – Eufora National Trainers Business Educator
Letty began her journey as a Salon Professional in 1983 as a Salon Coordinator. She then evolved into salon management and in 2000 she decided to pursue the creative side of the industry.
Letty received her cosmetology license through the California Apprenticeship program and has been committed to both technical and business education ever since. Letty has completed business programs through the Professional Beauty Association, Inspiring Champions, Eufora YOU School Advanced Training Academy, Redken and Rusk.
Letty’s passion for helping others is evident in every class she teaches. “I love helping other people evolve. At first I had a fear of educating. I learned speaking from the heart is the best place to start and being genuine and letting people know that you have walked in their shoes builds trust.”
Letty credits both Gayle Fulbright and Don Bewley with mentoring her along her path to Eufora National Trainers Educator. She chose Eufora because she felt as if their value system was in line with her own.
By attending a business program with Letty, attendees will walk away with tangible tools that they can use everyday in their business that will provide proven results.
Margaret Morse – Eufora National Trainer
Margaret has been a stylist for 8 years and is passionate about the salon industry, constantly looking for ways to enhance the beauty of others, making them look and feel great. She credits her mentor, Don Bewley, with inspiring her to become an educator and share her talent and knowledge with others. Margaret enjoys consulting with other salon professionals on how to succeed in all areas of their career.
As a National Trainers member, Margaret conducts classes throughout North America and has been a part of Eufora’s Global Connection and Revolution Tour education teams. She hopes to empower others to be the best versions of themselves they can be. Margaret’s goal as an educator is to inspire change in others. She wants her students to leave her class better than they were the day before by giving them the tools they need to succeed and reach their dreams.
Micky Hatoum – Eufora National Trainer/YOU School Instructor
Within minutes of meeting Micky Hatoum, you will be drawn to his professionalism and quiet confidence. His soft-spoken manner will captivate you, and drive you to learn more.
With over twenty years experience as a stylist, Micky’s career sparkles with a multitude of achievements. He has worked as the Canadian Artistic Director for a major manufacturer, and his salon Altimo Hair Group has been awarded many ABA Allied Association Trophies in multiple categories. His award-winning salon in Edmonton, Alberta is internationally recognized for outstanding creation and design.
Eufora proudly welcomed Micky to the National Trainers in 2005, where he continues to encourage students to experience the art of hair design.
Mirza Botanovic – Eufora National Trainer
Mirza Batanovic has been a stylist for over 9 years, an educator with Eufora International for 3 years and was appointed as a National Trainers member this past October at Eufora’s Global Connection.
Originally from Zvornik (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Mirza began working behind the chair in Colorado. Although he enjoyed living in Colorado there was something about the climate and ocean views that drew him to California where he interviewed and was accepted as a stylist at Headlines for Hair in Encinitas. From there Mirza began his teaching career with Eufora and has pursued everything from Editorial work, television work and appearances, fashion work and events. His true love is education and he credits Eufora with providing him the education and familiar atmosphere that has helped him to continually better himself.
Paul Kenyon – Eufora National Trainer/YOU School Instructor
Paul Kenyon is not only a successful stylist but also a salon owner and well educated professional in the salon industry. As a National Trainers educator for Eufora, Paul not only shares his technical experience through teaching classes, but he is also part of our Global Connection educating team and our YOU School Academy instructors. If you ask Paul why he chooses to be a Eufora educator, he will respond with, “I love the product, people and programs. The education is the best in the industry.” His students will tell you, “Paul is an exceptional instructor”, “extremely friendly and professional”. Eufora International is proud to present Paul Kenyon.
Rebekah Vigil – Eufora National Trainer
Rebekah’s passion for the industry and desire to educate began during her training as a student in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her instructors there became life long mentors. After completing her education, she relocated to San Diego where she currently lives and works in one of the finest salons in Southern California.
Rebekah’s creative work has been published in the print media, showcased on television and featured in runway fashion shows. Her work has appeared in notable publications such as Passion and Elle magazines. She has choreographed presentations for television and has worked on fashion shows for Oscar de la Renta. Through all of this exposure she has become known for her edgy yet wearable creations.
Rebekah offers creative and technical cutting classes throughout the United States and Canada representing Eufora International.
Shereen Hussein Doucette – Eufora National Trainer
Shereen started off as a client at Deeva Hair in Kitchener, Ontario Canada, where she fell in love Eufora and found a passion for the industry. Eufora Artistic Director, Dee Fortier hired her as an apprentice with no experience and trained her from the ground up. Shereen has since worked her way up quickly in the industry, and is now an award winning, world renowned stylist and educator for Eufora. Shereen now travels North America, educating for Eufora. She hopes her students leave her class with motivation, inspiration, passion and education.
Steve DeCaro – Eufora National Trainer
Steve started cutting friends’ hair at seventeen. It wasn’t until he was 25 that he attended Barber College in Los Angeles. Just prior to graduation he entered a haircutting contest at the Biltmore Hotel in LA and won first place in the Men’s Two Line competition. However, he heard some good advice from his barber instructor “Don’t get hung up on trophies and awards because you can’t eat them.” With that said, Steve began his career and building his business behind the chair. Directly out of school he went to work cutting hair, within two years he had his own salon. After six years he sold to a partner, but continued in the business.
Currently, you can find Steve behind the chair at Zino’s International in the Mission Valley area of San Diego, California. Steve has been in the hair business since 1976 and has been inspired by the likes of Paul Mitchell, Vidal Sassoon, and John Sahag and most recently Don Bewley. Following in the steps of those that have inspired him, Steve is now giving back to the business by taking up his tools to teach. He believes in giving back to the industry that has given to him all these years. His involvement with Eufora International was a personal choice to be with a group that did not just have great products, but with quality people as well.
Tamra Segert – Eufora National Trainer
Tamra, native to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania started her career nearly 33 years ago. Her schooling originally began at the Harrisburg, PA Barber School, where she trained to be a barber. There she embraced the techniques she was taught which gave her a solid foundation for cutting. She soon realized though that the industry during the 1980’s was changing and that in order to be competitive, she also had to embrace her female clients. She began to expand her cutting, texturizing, dressing and coloring skills by attending various advanced training courses. In 2004 Tamra found Eufora and Eufora’s Advanced Training Academy. “My best growth has come from attending every Eufora YOU School and taking and teaching classes for Eufora”.
After being truly inspired by Eufora, Tamra continued to grow with Eufora for the next 7 years. With her strong passion, amazing cutting skills and her ability to connect with every person she meets, it only made sense that in 2011 Eufora added Tamra to the National Trainers. Her goal as a National Trainers Member is to continue to be an effective educator and to inspire others to continue to grow and learn just as she did with Eufora. “I am the perfect example of someone who feared, faced and flourished” I hope to pass this on!
